Our services

Information and counseling
for job vacancies and training courses

A returnee might have some urgent needs. The confrontation with the labour market can be disappointed to him. Often the returnee remains passive and not motivated to look for a job. The highly educated people expect to find a job according to their education what is very difficult to be found. The less educated returned migrants are not so skilled to be taken in a job and so on. Our intervention in all cases is very quick. We invite them to participate in our programme and counsel them not to stay at home waiting for a dreamed job but together to begin to look for whatsoever job. This would facilitate their professional and social reintegration in the Albanian society. In compliance with that we offer the proper information. This information is given to all of them who contact our office, even though can not be involved in programme of the reintegration assistance for not fulfilling the criteria.

Opportunities for apprenticeship

or job placement for 9 month period

Returned or internal migrants from 18-35 years old the last year are eligible to benefit from our program. Alternatives to get an apprenticeship or to be placed in a job according to their liking are offered to them. A salary supplement is given to them for 9 months. We take care to listen to their preferences for avoiding the conflicts with entrepreneurs and secure a sustainable return.

Subsidy to university studies

Some young people returned by emigration have benefited a subsidy for 9 months. There are eligible these students who come from poor families and are in a difficult financial situation.

Subsidy to training courses

This support is provided to these returnees who do not prefer to be involved in the apprenticeship or job placement, but wish to improve their skills. The association encourages also young people who, after completion of the 9 months period of assistance, are interested to have additional training.

Financial aid at special cases

Financial aid is given to a number of beneficiaries who make a poor living at special cases of joys or sorrows, weddings or sicknesses etc.

Psycho-social counseling

Psycho-social counseling is provided
by a specialized staff to persons in need.

Socio-cultural activities in support to social reintegration

The social reintegration is an important component in our reintegration assistance scheme. The returning migrant needs to re-find the roots in a society that has changed a lot since the time of leaving. For this reason we organize periodical Open House meetings where the youngsters exchange their experience and enjoy the time in the company of each other.  Special topics are treated according to their interests as well.

Cultural, sportive and other leisure time activities are elements that accelerate and facilitate the process of reintegration of the returning migrants. Such activities include visits outside the city, watching in collective a cinema movie or a football match, organization of soccer plays between the project beneficiaries, celebration of the special events, giving out the yearly best emigration story award written by the young people involved in our programme etc.

Migration prevention. Sensitization activities in high schools for the danger of illegal migration.

Hope for the Future organizes periodical meetings in high schools and incites debates and discussions about the migration phenomenon. Beneficiaries who have experienced bitter experiences in emigration are invited to talk about their experiences and make appeal to young people not to try to migrate in a regular way.
